Board
Certified Civil Trial Specialist*
Paul Marasco, a lifelong native of Rochester, received his undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. Paul was a partner in a top Rochester law firm, representing both injured plaintiffs and insurance companies. For the last several years Paul has only represented people injured as the result of the negligence and carelessness of others.
Paul has appeared on WROC (Channel 8) and WHEC (Channel 10) as a Legal Analyst.
Paul is currently the Co-Chairman of the Litigation section of the Monroe County Bar Association and past Chairman of the Personal Injury Committee of the Monroe County Bar Association. The Litigation Section of the Monroe County Bar Association brings together members interested in civil litigation in both state and federal courts to address issues and procedures in those courts; to consider and report on matters relating to federal, state, and local rules governing the practice; to address issues regarding personal injury matters; to review legislation of concern to civil litigators; to sponsor legal education programs of interest to civil litigators; and to provide networking and social activities for members of the Section and the Association in general. Paul has served as this section's subcommittees of Plaintiffs in Personal Injury.
Paul has authored several articles which have appeared in Rochester’s legal newspaper, The Daily Record. Paul frequently lectures on legal topics to members of the Monroe County Bar Association.
Many of Paul's cases have been featured on television and in newspapers, including a feature story on the cover of The Wall Street Journal and he has appeared on BBC television. Paul has been interviewed by international and United States media.
He has handled many cases which have resulted in settlements or verdicts in excess of one million dollars. Over 99% of the lawyers in the United States never get a single million dollar recovery in their entire careers.
Paul also has vast familiarity with the laws involving Property Safety, Codes and Regulations, and Vehicle and Traffic Law, serving as a Hearing Officer for the City of Rochester and having been a volunteer Fire Fighter.
Paul has been a leader in many of Rochester's charitable and community organizations and was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as one of Rochester's "40 under 40", a prestigious award given to only 40 professionals a year, under 40 years old, who have "contributed to their employers' success and to the public at large through dedication to community service."
He is a member in good standing of:
- The New York State Bar Association
- The Monroe County Bar Association
- The National Board of Trial Advocacy *
